SECOND STOP: VIVERE SUITES
THIRD STOP: FORSTHOFGUT
Hey guys! As I got a lot of questions about our family vacay a few weeks ago, I am so mia, so so sorry…., I thought it would be a good idea of sharing some details of where we stayed and how we managed to travel with our dog and baby with you in this blog post and I hope you like IT!
As our first stay was around about seven hours away from our home by car we thought it would be good to drive over night in order to get Emma as much sleep as she would need. It was just perfect for Emma Rose as I already dressed her in her body and a light leggings when I brought her to bed the night before and around about midnight we started our drive (Emma woke up for a few minutes but as she likes to drive by car she felt again asleep after a short while – I already had fears!! she wouldn´t, haha). Heinz and myself we switched driving but I have to admit that I was so tired all the time so he drove almost the whole distance. We did some short stops and also Zuma was totally fine and slept in his basket. We safely arrived at half past seven in the morning at our beautiful hotel and after we checked in we had a long breakfast with the one and other hot coffee :-). Emma was totally fit as she got a lot of sleep and she loved to explore the new surrounding. The hotel at which we stayed was the Miramonti Boutique Hotel in South Tyrol which was just beyond GORGEOUS. With its only 36 rooms it is a smaller hotel and belongs to the Small Luxury Hotels of the World which was so far never a fail booking through. We stayed there for three nights and were accommodated in the Guest Suite. On my Insta stories I showed you more than one time the beautiful view out of our room and it was quite spacious as well – since having a baby we prefer to book bigger rooms in order to have enough space for the additional baby crib, luggage, dog etc.…
During our VACAY we accommodated in three different hotels so I can say that we lived out of our luggage, I only hang out clothes like thick cardigans, jackets or dresses and I have to say that we managed it quite well without to fall in a big mess, haha…. Don´t ask of how many SUITCASES and bags we had but for two adults (a mommy who loves clothes and shoes ;-), a baby girl with ALLL her toys and a dog (food, bones) we had quite a lot with us. What I also like to bring with me for Emma are several snacks because I was not sure about what the hotels will offer for kids in the afternoon and I don’t want to give her biscuits or cakes every day, I would like to vary with snacks for Emma. She loves to eat fruits so as long as she does I take full advantage of IT J! During our time there we rent bikes, went swimming every day because Emma loves IT so so much and went for walks – the food was amazing and the hospitality of the two owners really great!
Our next stop was just one hour away and we drove closer to the Lago di Garda. Has anyone of you ever been there? We checked in the hotel Vivere for the next three nights which is a small boutique hotel with only six VILLAS in the middle of an old vineyard! I tell you guys, it was BEAUTIFUL and you couldn´t even imagine that a small hotel would hide itself within vineyards! As I am a big fan of South Africa the feeling of the Vivere which I got during our stay totally reminded me to the famous Garden Route in the southern part of South Africa. In the mornings we found a huge breakfast table with self-made food and freshly baked pastries and juices! we were in heaven because I LOVE breakfast! and during your breakfast your room will be cleaned! After we entered our room afterwards it was so well cleaned and smelled sooo good! There will be no lunch or dinner served in the hotel but you will find all the time fresh fruits, nuts or self-baked cakes in front of the pool area and St Pellegrino water! What I also would like to mention is that there are two villas available with fully equipped kitchens, we had such a villa, and were able to prepare Emma some food whenever she needed some! So, after breakfast you can say that you have the whole house, your villa and pool area available for just yourself and the other few guest! Emma loved the pool as she is a little fishy, haha…! You will also find a little spa and gym area in the house! For dinner we went for a short walk each evening and with the help of the owner Edy we found cute little restaurants in which the dinner was sooo good – typical Italian food with nice atmospheres and we also hadn´t the feeling that they were touristic, there were a lot of habitants in which is always a good sign.
For the next five days we drove from South Tyrol to Austria to the hotel Forsthofgut which is only a few minutes away from Kitzbuehel and it is also a great place for skiing in winter. From the Vivere we drove about four hours which was ok as Emma took a short nap and the rest of the time we played in the car and sang some kids music ;-), momlife! Our room was called Natursuite Bergbalance which also had a separate room for kids with two beds in it and for Emma we found there a baby crib. By the way, every time when checking in a new hotel room I have to rearrange a bit in order to be prepared and feel comfortable in as I like it – anyone else so WEIRD like me, hahaha? From our balcony we had a wonderful view to the mountains and you will also see this in my pictures above – it was beyond pretty, especially in the mornings! What I have to point out with this hotel is that it is family friendly which means that they have also a separate restaurant for families (separate children´s buffet available), a mini farm with animals, a game park with red deers, play-area in the house and outdoor for kids, a separate children´s pool and child-care service, as well! So many options! What I have never seen before was such a perfectly designed spa like this from the hotel! WOW, it was beyond!! It has been opened last year and is designed in its smallest detail – access will only be granted for children over 16, so maybe there is also some time for you to relax with a hot cup of tea, fresh fruits, silent background music and a magical view! I was there two times for each time around about an hour, with no treatment, but just to be for my own – it was SOOO good and refueled me with new energy! What you also have is a lot of possibilities in the region in order to get to know your surroundings better, either by car, by bike or by foot. The reception service is very friendly and helpful. We rented bikes one morning and drove about seven kilometers, exhausting but all worth it!
What I also like about traveling together!!! is whether it is a short or long trip that it brings you so much closer together, especially what concerns the relationship between Emma and her daddy – I love those moments like these so MUCH!
I hope you guys like this post and I could give you a little insight in our family vacay.
In case you have any questions to the above mentioned hotel please feel free to contact me! I would be happy to read your thoughts or if you have already planned a family vacay.
